Week 9

Tuesday: 3 hours at Sunnyluck Farms. Rode Denzel and Reagan. Worked with Denzel on beginning spins, worked with Reagan at the lope.

Thursday: 3 hours at Sunnyluck Farms. Rode Apple, Godiva, and worked more with Reagan on loping correctly and not leaning on the bit or my leg.

Then visited a small local ranch that raises sheep and scheduled one day a week that I will be working for her riding her colt, and doing general ranch work.

Friday: 4 hours at Sunnyluck Farms, rode Rosie, a 11 year old mare that hasn't been ridden in a few years. She was a little hot and a little nervous, but got over it pretty quickly and should be a fun horse to work with. Then tied Reagan's head in the round pen. After we were done with the horses, we cleaned the barn in preparation for the clinic Saturday for a few hours. Then had a 4-H demonstration in the evening. I showed a basic stopping drill.

Saturday: Helped Sabrina all day for her first clinic of the season, an introduction to body control. Rode Apple and she was very good. We helped teach and acted as an example for collection, starting spins, correct body form, and side passing.

Week 8

Thursday: At Sunnyluck Farms for 3 hours. Rode Reagan for her owner, rode Denzel, round penned Ruby.

Friday: At Sunnyluck Farms for 2 hours. Rode Denzel, cleaned tack.

Week 7

Tuesday: At Sunnyluck Farms for 3 hours. Fed, rode Reagan (worked on holding herself correctly and keeping her shoulders up in the round pen), rode Godiva.

Thursday: At Sunnyluck Farms for 3 hours. Rode Reagan, rode Godiva, worked with babies.

Friday: At Sunnyluck Farms for 3 hours, fed, rode Reagan, hacked Godiva.

Saturday: Went to a local show, rode Clifford in a very small Western Equitation class.

Week 6

Tuesday: At Sunnyluck Farms for about 2 hours. Rode Reagan, a 3 year old paint mare and hunter under saddle prospect in the arena off the lunge line for a bit, walk, trot, and canter. She did amazing, and is a super neat horse and very steady and sane for a three year old. Then rode Apple for a while just as a sort of refresher course after all of the lessons that she's been giving. 

Thursday: At Sunnyluck Farms for about 2 hours. Round penned and rode Denzel, rode Godiva.

Friday: At Sunnyluck Farms for about 4 hours. Fed, worked with the foals, helped Sabrina with Ruby and filmed their second ride in the arena, Ruby is one of the colts that she's starting, and rode Reagan in the arena again.

Saturday: Drove down to Cheyenne to get my new reining saddle! It's a Todd Bergen. 

Sunday: At Laughing Buck Farm for 2 hours, met my friend and we traded off between Clifford and Lady.
